A Day in the LIfe.....

This entry is to basically show you what a typical day in Sweden looks like for us..... sort of. We usually start our day in a conference room in the school library doing homework and then we go over the events and schedule of the day. We then usually split up and give presentations or go to one of the classes that we have (PE, Music, Home Economics, Spanish, Art or English). Below is a photo of Mitch and Norma presenting to 7th graders. Today we had an early lunch at 11:30 am so that we could catch the 12:30 pm train into Stockholm. We had a tour of the Parliament building from a member of Parliament. I was expecting a tour guide but instead it was the actual member! She was on the "Traffic" committee which includes transportation and electronic communication. But, before we had our Parliament tour, we went for a quick peak at the Royal Castle and then we went into a very old and large church - the one that Princess Victoria got married in last summer. We saw statues in the church that were built in the 1400s. I believe the church dated back to the 1200s. It was quite impressive! The very last picture is waiting for the train to go back to our homes. By the way, the weather has changed from the beautiful warm sunny days to cold, wet, and windy. This morning it was snowing.
